In Q1 2023, the top maps and navigation apps on the Android platform in Germany exhibited varied performance in terms of downloads and active users. Here’s a look at the trends for the top five applications, according to Sensor Tower data.

Blitzer.de saw a consistent performance throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads fluctuated slightly, peaking at 22.2K in the week of January 9, and ending the quarter at 17.4K. The app maintained stable active user numbers, starting at 97.6K in late December and increasing to approximately 101.9K by the end of March.

Bolt: Request a Ride experienced a notable rise in weekly downloads, starting at 16.2K in late December and reaching a high of 18K in mid-March. Active users showed a positive trend, growing from 81.5K at the beginning of the quarter to about 82.1K by the end of March.

Uber - Request a ride also demonstrated strong performance. Weekly downloads began at 19K in late December, dipped to 11.3K in mid-January, and then climbed to 18.5K by the end of March. Active users increased steadily from 237K to approximately 233K during the same period.

RMVgo had a varied download pattern, starting at 28.7K at the end of December, dropping to a low of 7.6K in late February, and rebounding to 15.9K by the end of March. The app’s active users showed consistent growth, beginning the quarter at 83.9K and reaching nearly 159.8K by March’s end.

Regio Guide displayed fluctuating download numbers, starting at 11.6K in late December, peaking at 15.9K in mid-January, and then dropping significantly to 1.6K by the end of March. Active users saw a decline over the quarter, from 51.2K in late December to approximately 40.3K by the end of March.
